What We Are About

But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect

1 Peter 3:15

What We Believe

The Basics

We believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth.

We believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord.

He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary.

He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.

He descended to the dead.

On the third day He rose again.

He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father.

He will come again to judge the living and the dead.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Christian Church, the communion of saints.

The forgiveness of sins.

The resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

The Apostles Creed

Here is the stuff you always wanted to know but were scared to ask.

What time is church?

Our Sunday Morning Service starts at 10am.

Do you have a dress code?

Yes, our dress code is simple: please wear clothes! Seriously though, jeans and t-shirt to suit and tie is fine.

What is your service like?

A typical service has about 30 minutes praise and worship followed by announcements, prayer requests, testimonies, an offering, and a 30 to 40 minute message. People love to hang out before and after the service to chat.

What do I need to do to become a member?

Contact Pastor Harry or Pastor Mike at 570-324-2349 or email them at info@harvestfam.org.

What translation of the Bible do you use?

Pastor Harry normally uses the New International Version (NIV), although other translations are also used from time to time

Do I have to believe what you believe to attend?

No, anyone is welcome regardless of their beliefs. We are all on a spiritual journey and we realize that different people are in different places on that journey. We welcome questions, intelligent debate, and dialog!

How long is your service?

This can vary from week to week, but generally our services run about 1.5 hours

How tolerant are you of noisy children?

We LOVE children! The sound of children is always welcome at Harvest Family Fellowship! We understand that children make noise, and have no problem when kids are just being kids. With that being said, we do ask that common courtesy be used.

What children's programs do you have?

We offer a nursery for those that are birth through 3 years old as well as a children's church program for those 3 years old through 6th grade. The children stay in the service during worship and are dismissed right before the sermon time.

What is your mission statement?

We are a Kingdom oriented, Pentecostal church with a Family atmosphere. A place of Faith, Family, and Growth.

Does your church take any political stances?

We do our best to leave politics out of the church. Our opinion is that the way we live our lives every day is far more of an indicator of our faith and values than how we vote.

What is your leadership structure like?

The senior pastor is the head of our organization and is in partnership with the church deacons, who are elected from the church membership. Click here to learn more.
